dear social justice bloggers
It’s not about individuals being ‘bad guys’ it’s about those groups having the institutional power to oppress marginalized groups and delegating it to only a few bad apples makes everyone in those positions of power ignore the harm they can potentially be causing by their own actions
you people will never understand institutionalized oppression and power imbalance will you
There needs to be a bar or club or something that when you walk in there’s a rack of different color wristbands with words like “I looking for-“
- no one
So that everyone would know who’s looking for who.
"Hey that girl is cute. And her wristband says she’s also looking for a girl. Sweet!”
"He’s cute, but his wristband says girls. Oh well."

there are two basic types of fans in a bandom
- the kind that likes the band for their music
- the others who started out liking the music but fell in love the musicians as people and would buy the cds even if it was literally four minutes of the bassist blowing raspberries into a microphone

The love of my life.
Jimmy Page at Sol Studios, 1973
All those lies, those lies build up in our blood and our heart and our mind until they consume our very soul and make our bodies vibrate with the anger of a lifetime.
Throughout our life we are told so many lies to keep us happy. Small lies and big lies. Lies of love and lies of life; we expect to grow up happy. And then as we grow older endless promises are broken.
Theses lies build up and consume your entire building with rage.
It seems often it is only the young adults who try and concur the lies and change the world. They are mocked by the adults before them who failed, told that hardly anyone actually does change anything.
And if the kids fail the rage builds up in them and erodes the passion they once had. It is not a truly tangible rage. It is passive and quiet and only occurs with the reply to a question when our well-trained cynicism shows itself.
We are fed lies from a young age about how wonderful our life will be and maybe for some that will be true, but along the way cracks start to form and the dark ocean drowns your life for periods of time so your memories of colour are tainted with darkness.
Some people use the darkness to find new patterns, learn from the bad times and build themselves again, greater than they were before.
For some people the darkness breaks them in strange ways, and forms a cage around their mind so even the funniest joke doesn’t truly touch them, and endless laughter can’t heal their broken soul.
There is light though. Even the strongest cage has gaps in it, and from under water you can still se the sun. All you have to do is find your way back to it.
